Major Benedek, the GFS OXXO Energy Team -2 young racer had testing on Hungaroring last saturday with a Lotus Cup 260.
The first rounds went by warming up and then Beni linked up and started to run his quick rounds. Everything went well until the 10th lap, when the left rear rim broken at 160 km/h in the 11th curve, which is a fast turning right part of the course. The car fell down almost uncontrollable from the line to the gravel. Beni only sensed from inside that in the middle of the curve the car slide away and he needed all of his routine to avoided overturning. When his team arrived, he welcomed them with smiling and replied their question that what like was living it from the inside?
" Everything happened so quickly, and I did not have time to thinking about what would be the best solution. I tried to keep the car and trusted that the car would not overturn.
Watched it from the outside it looked like more serious, but for me it was just a moment, which was solving by reflex. To clear up this kind of situation, drivers needed miles, practises, so the routine."
